3.) Site spamming issues : Update from Mark/Jon – will continue with the current procedure of having new members approved to avoid spam issues. Jon is working on automatic ES emailing list. Will continue to monitor and address problems as they arise with website and registration.

4.) Will receive update next meeting from Scott/Allan/Drew on: Calendar, RCMP Track, Invoices, Posters for three flags. Also inquire about cheque to Leg grounds for ES.

New Business:

1.) Driver Training & Dilarwi – Andy K. will distribute e-mail letting individuals know about our track days – Reg to talk to Andy about wording and info included. Also Dilarwi will provide small sponsorship of events. New registrants will meet at Dilarwi and be directed out to the track. Details to follow.

2.) RCC proposing to change their driver training school will now take place on July 16/17. Discussion held about the impact on the club and it was agreed it would be minimal if anything. Will let RCC and 3Flags know that the change is alright with us.

3.) The following track days are confirmed for 2011 – May 21, June 25, July 23 (ES), August 13. Reg to book August 27 as rain day for track and September 10th as proposed wind-up for the track season-will send e-mail to 3Flags.

4.) RCC proposed a Show and Shine with the BMW Club. BMW Club would participate only to help draw interest and help increase car-show spirit. Discussion held and the club would be interested in an event like this. Will let RCC know and inquire as to details.

1.) Hope’s Home: Several members were in attendance at a recent fundraiser night for Hope’s Home, where a cheque was presented for $1200.

2.) Club Jackets: There are four jackets remaining. (1-small, 1-medium, 2-extra large)

3.) Invoices: Discussion regarding invoices for Audi dealership and Thunder City. Scott will bring invoice to Thunder City.

4.) Driver Training:
-Corvette Club Driver Training – July 10th – Cost to be announced.
-Track membership fees: We are splitting fees with the Corvette Club once again. Reg will drop off cheque to Garth Hubick for this year’s fees.
-Track session costs: $30 per session for members, $40 for non-members.
-Insurance: It was decided that we would source our insurance through Three Flags.
-Dates: May 21st, June 25th, July 16th, July 23rd, August 13th.
-Euro Show track days: Short discussion regarding same.
-Dilawri promotion at Driver Training – Reg has discussed this with Andy Kistner – they would like to have some degree of exposure/promotion at the Driver Education sessions. ?Would Dilawri perhaps cover cost of the session?
-RCMP track sessions: Some question as to whether we might have access to the RCMP driving facility. Scott will follow up.

5.) Sponsor logos on auto-emails: This will be followed up.

6.) Site spamming: The website has been altered, such that new members will require approval from administrators, prior to being allowed to becoming active on the website.

7.) Sponsorship: New sponsorship: Drew and Scott have spoken with the Porsche dealership in Saskatoon, who have expressed interest – they have spoken with the general manager, and suggested perhaps $150 per car for entry into the Euro Show.
Discussion held regarding perhaps requesting that dealers have a representative in attendance with their cars, to address queries, while at the Euro Show.

8.) Calendars: Scott has contacted a model friend, who would be interested in doing a calendar. As we likely lack sufficient member cars for a full calendar, perhaps we need to open it up to marques besides BMW? To do a 15-month calendar. Scott has approached Western Litho, who would charge $4 per calendar, if we order 500 of them. We need a committee for creation of calendar. All in agreement to proceed with the calendar. For the present, Scott, Drew, and Allan will be the calendar committee. We will aim to have the calendar completed in time for the Euro Show.

1.) Chester presented info as to this years driver training session. Cost of around $50, will have instructors drive along with students. Discussion about other ways to improve the layout with new features such as braking markers and different chicane layouts. July 10th

2.) Discussion held about this years track day dates, insurance rates, and options. Scott will look after insurance this year. Track days for this year will include May 21, June 25, July 16, and July 23 (Euro Show track day). For August and September we will play it by ear as not many dates are booked right now.

3.) Discussion about ways to communicate with members through mailing lists for Euro Show and regular club meetings and events. Jon proposed we use a program that he will introduce that will keep all our contacts organized effectively. Will have more information next meeting.

4.) Scott raised the issue that he still technically owns the site and wants to transfer ownership to the club along with billing. Jon to get godaddy login info to Scott for this to happen.

5.) Spam issue brought up for discussion. Inherent to the platform and the current method of approving members through the login@bmwsask.com email will be our method. Mark to post info in forum rules and guidelines for new members to be aware of this process.

1.) Club Jackets – There are four jackets remaining. We still need to order a medium, and a small. All in favour to order two small jackets, and two medium jackets.
2.) Driver Education – Last scheduled day: August 8th (morning). Discussion held regarding additional dates. Reg has spoken with Florence regarding evening. Rod has Fridays off, so we can go out earlier (approximately 4pm, until twilight) – also brought up the possibility of perhaps limiting sessions to evenings only next year, with perhaps one full session, in the interest of limiting expense. QCMA is interested in running – discussion regarding how much to charge – all in favour of $40 for non-members, $30 for members.
3.) Euroshow – Invoice – Knight Archer – $500. Novus Auto Glass – needs receipt. Discussion held regarding next year’s show – Pre-show meeting the night before. Move registration desk to entrance at Albert Street. Only need one track session. Have cheerleaders do registration with one member of executive.

Sponsorship page – Drew has added Dilawri and The Dent Clinic. We now need Dynasty Spas, Knight Archer, and Western Litho graphics.
3.) Euroshow – There is likely no need for another committee meeting. Still need to confirm a few sponsors. Will meet one more time prior to the show. Thus far, we have 30-35 cars pre-registered. Mark will post a notice on 306motorclub.com.

1.) Driver Education days – Next track day is on July 8th, 6pm to 9pm – it was suggested that we keep same layout as previous, but perhaps move the chicane closer to the hairpin. 1.) Sponsors – Discussion was held about how to most effectively incorporate a sponsors section into the website. Scott will get verb-age from sponsors to post when this section will become active. Also the need for new/more sponsors was discussed. Companies like Kelsey’s are no longer in existence and we may want to find companies to replace these types of old sponsors.

2.) Euro Show – RCC to provide Tech sheet for self inspections.

Dallas has volunteered to create 3 flags (red, white and black) for the Euro Show Track Day in order for easier management and communication with drivers on the course.

Need to start collecting donations for Euro Show.

3.) Club jackets – Discussion was held about what type of jacket would be best suited for the club. A short sleeve golf jacket or a thicker (more suited for winter) jacket. It was agreed that the “north-face” style jacket would be worn much more.

4.) Pay-Pal – Reg now has the password and login. Will tie to bank account asap.

5.) Club Banner – Props to Scott for securing a great looking club banner at minimal cost.

5.0 New Business:

1.) Majestic Car Show – Great spot, good time, nice cars. Next year we will take a more interactive approach with ideas like a video booth and generally more media to promote the club. Would also like to attract more female participation in the future.

2.) Driver Education Days – All dates confirmed on the website. Club day Saturday after the Euro Show and Sunday Morning following. Both have been confirmed with the track.

Driving School on May 16th – Chester to email formal agenda once completed but rough outline is as follows: Start at 9am, classroom secession until noon, break for lunch, walk the track at 1pm, braking drills then setup a course and run. Three instructors will be on site. Cost will be roughly $45 to 55.
