MEETING MINUTES (February 27, 2010) VENUE (Rock Creek Restaurant)

1.0 Call to order (Reg. Hodsman): 14:07
2.0 Adoption of minutes (January 23, 2010)
3.0 Treasurer’s report
Balance at present – XXXX.
-Allan to get invoices to Audi and Ducati for 2010 ES
-Scott/Allan to invoice Knight Archer for 2011 sponsorship
-Will present cheque to hopes homes at annual gala
4.0 Old Business
– Club Jackets – Inventory of 2 XLs’, 1 Medium, and 1 small
-Mark will inquire as to pricing of another 2-3 jackets to keep in inventory
5.0 New Business:
1.) Chester presented info as to this years driver training session. Cost of around $50, will have instructors drive along with students. Discussion about other ways to improve the layout with new features such as braking markers and different chicane layouts. July 10th
2.) Discussion held about this years track day dates, insurance rates, and options. Scott will look after insurance this year. Track days for this year will include May 21, June 25, July 16, and July 23 (Euro Show track day). For August and September we will play it by ear as not many dates are booked right now.
3.) Discussion about ways to communicate with members through mailing lists for Euro Show and regular club meetings and events. Jon proposed we use a program that he will introduce that will keep all our contacts organized effectively. Will have more information next meeting.
4.) Scott raised the issue that he still technically owns the site and wants to transfer ownership to the club along with billing. Jon to get godaddy login info to Scott for this to happen.
5.) Spam issue brought up for discussion. Inherent to the platform and the current method of approving members through the login@bmwsask.com email will be our method. Mark to post info in forum rules and guidelines for new members to be aware of this process.
