MEETING MINUTES (October 24, 2010)

Present: Reg Hodsman, Drew Brady, Scott Yasinski, Mark Stewart, Allan Fong.

1.0 Call to order (Reg. Hodsman): 16:53

3.0 Business arising from the minutes:
– There was no business arising from the minutes.

4.0 AGM:
1.) Elections:
-President: Reg Hodsman (Nominated – Allan Fong, seconded – Scott Yasinski)
-Vice President: Mark Sewart (acclaimed)
-Secretary/Treasurer: Allan Fong (acclaimed)
-National Delegate: Reg Hodsman
2.) Newsletter – Newsletter – discussion regarding same – it was unanimously decided that this was not sustainable, and as such, it was decided to abandon the newsletter.
3.) Director of Track days/Members – following a short discussion, it was decided that this, too was not sustainable.
4.) Members at large: Drew Brady, Scott Yaskinski
5.) Treasurer’s report – unavailable.
6.) National report: Conference call in November (Reg will follow up)
7.) Charities: It was decided to stay with Hope’s Home, and to send them a cheque for $1200.
8.) Sponsorship: Western Litho, Knight Archer (Allan to send invoice), Dent Repair, Dilawri.
9.) Membership dues: $30
10.) Window stickers: Reg has these from National Club.
11.) Review of 2010 events: Driver’s Education – went well overall this year. Majestics – it was decided not to enter this year. Euroshow – discussion regarding same.
12.) Club day: It was felt that it was not advantageous and voted to abolish.

5.0 New Business:

1.) Euro Show Planning: It was decided to charge $10 for the show, $15 for track evening.
2.) Club T-shirts, Jackets: The idea of shirts was voted down.
3.) Driver Training: To continue with same. $30 for members, $40 non-members. Strive to book 5 evenings, 1 weekend session.
4.) Club Lottery: Decided to cease.
5.) Meeting date: Fourth Sunday of each month, in the afternoon.
6.) Christmas party: It was decided to meet for a night out, rather than have a formalized party at a member’s house.
7.) Club participation: Discussion regarding same.
